How long does a simple divorce no assetts or kids take?
I have been in an abusive and loveless marriage for 4 yrs now,I want out so I can restart my life.We do not have children,have no property to split or assetts.Also he has agreed verbally to pay me spousal support even though we havent been married the 7 yrs it normally takes.Could A legal paper be made where he agrees to pay me?
I have been in Georgia 1 year but plan on filing in Wisconsin.

If you have been in GA for a year you need to seek the advice of an attorney their! I can’t stress this enough…. It would be prudent to speak to an attorney ASAP “try a free consult” You cannot get a legal divorce from Wisconsin in this instance…. You may gain a divorce under false statements but then he have the ability to say that the spousal support was ordered by a court who lacked jurisdiction….. Do this thin in the State you have lived for the last year…

Less than a month, but word of advice. Drop the support issue if you really want to be free of this man! Since you own no property and have no kids there will be nothing else tying you to him. And yes, you can find a way to support yourself.
Why the heck do you need spousal support? You don’t have kids so why are you still relying on him?
