How long do i have to wait in NH for Divorce if spouse is “parts unknown”?
loveguppy asked:
I am looking to file for Divorce in New Hampshire. I originally filed in massachusetts but because my ex is "parts unknown" and I moved to NH over a year ago I have file here now. Does anyone know what they will require me to do in New Hampshire to get a divorce as he is unable to be located and how long it will take? Thanks

Each state has divorce laws permitting a “Divorce By Publication” process where you actually serve your spouse with a legal notice in the newspaper. The process is rather simple, but does have it’s own unique documents and divorce filing procedure. Check with the clerk of the court to see how to do this. If you need a lawyer I can help with that too.

Your best bet is to contact a local divorce attorney, they’d be the experts.
